I’ve just found a killer pair of shoes at ALDO.
I head to the checkout counter to pay for them.
And just before the sales assistant puts the purchase through, she says, “Would you like to make a donation to fight HIV/AIDS across the world?”
She’s caught me completely off guard.
I’d really love to make a contribution but I’ve already exceeded my budget after picking up a few other items that weren’t on my shopping list today.
What do I do?
That’s completely besides the point.
But here’s what you can do.
ALDO, in partnership with YouthAIDS, is continuing its fight against AIDS by offering Love for Life bracelets.
In conjunction with World AIDS Day, December 1st, these limited edition ALDO Fights AIDS items are available at all ALDO, ALDO Accessories and ALDO Outlet stores, as well as online at http://www.aldoshoes.com.
ALDO will donate 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of the bracelets to YouthAIDS.
Go get yours!
It’s that time of year again.
We’ll struggle to find the perfect gift for the ones we love.
Celebrity Stylist Mark-Alan Harmon and Prime Outlets have some pretty helpful tips.
- Don’t force your own personal style or look onto someone else.
- Don’t buy anything for family and friends that is extremely low-cut or considered sexy. (I don’t totally agree.)
- Never buy shoes for anyone unless you know their exact shoe size and preferred designer.
- Never give pre-packaged fragrance sets that are poorly wrapped. They come across as impersonal and last minute.
- Avoid inexpensive packaging; the outside of the present should match the essence of what’s inside.

Today, it’s Kim Kardashian recommending CC Skye’s bangle collection with its fierce summer colors. In Kim’s blog post for July 23, she writes:
She is a Los Angeles native who traveled to all the way to Kathmandu, Nepal, to gain inspiration for her bohemian bracelets and bags. She even lived with a shaman in a mud hut in the hills of the Himalayas while filming a documentary on Hindus and Buddhists.
When she got back to the states, she says she began to approach design with a whole new perspective…
I am talking about designer CC Skye, and she makes the cutest accessories! I am so into bangle bracelets for the summer, and CC makes them in an array of eye-popping colors!
Bangles are an awesome way to spice up a casual t-shirt and jeans look or can be worn when you’re dressed up and going out.
Check out CC’s designs and let me know what you think!
See them for yourself.
