I chose to travel during Inauguration and was able to do limited blogging during the festivities.
So after all this time, I’m only now catching up on what the blogosphere had to say about inaugural fashion.
The Fug Girls’ commentary–on who wore what and how–definitely brought a smile to my face.
I think you’ll love it, too!

We all know this blog is about fashion but every now and then there’s a place for music.
That’s why I couldn’t help but let you hear one of Rihanna’s reported new songs, according to Concreteloop.com.
It’s apparently titled, “Bad Girl” and features Chris Brown.
“She a bad girl, a real shopaholic,” Chris raps on the track — a story of Rihanna’s love for fashion, designer labels and the spotlight.
If I were a designer, I’d be ecstatic if a star wore one of my pieces.
So it’s no surprise that designer, JGERARD, issued a statement celebrating Rihanna’s recent in her creations.
However, I’m not sure I’d be blowing my own trumpet about this one.
I’m just not feeling JGERARD’s “PEACE CHAKRA” micro mini-gown, which the singer wore while partying at CLUB “PALAIS M” in Paris.
You might be surprised to know that JGERARD dresses many celebrities.
According to her web site, her client list includes Prince and his band, Tina Turner, Heidi Klum and Angelina Jolie.
A number of celebs came out to the Z100 Jingle Ball in New York last night.
Personally, I think Ri-Ri stole the show with her classic, non-traditional look.
Leona Lewis was also stunning in her holiday outfit.
I’m still wondering about Katy Perry. Sigh…

The beauty salon is always alive with chatter.
And yesterday was no different.
In an upbeat conversation about Rihanna, one of the ladies remarked how much the singer reminds her of Prince.
I thought I’d come home and see if there’s any truth to it.
And I do have to agree!
Ri-Ri, are you channeling Prince?!!
A couple looks the stars are rocking on the AMAs red carpet as I write.
Christian Siriano has boldly declared that anything with beading is on trend, right now.
Just one question for you, Christian.
If it’s so hot, then why aren’t any of your pieces for The Pussycat Dolls beaded?
Anyhow, folks, more pics after the jump!

Yesterday, we told you Rihanna is the official face of Gucci’s Tattoo Heart Collection.
Last night, she was in New York for the launch of the collection, which benefits UNICEF.
Here are a few pics, plus peep the official ad at the top of the post.
There’s no doubt about it.
Rihanna looks stunning in the new Gucci ad campaign!
Repping the Tattoo Heart line, she’ll also help the fashion house fulfil a much deeper purpose.
It doesn’t hurt that this campaign will benefit unicef and help save children’s lives.
Shop the Heart Tattoo collection. (25% of sales will go toward unicef).

Being from Barbados, I’m always eager to celebrate Rihanna’s fashion sense.
But after seeing pics posted on the City Rag blog today, I am slightly (ok, very) disappointed.
Take a look.
More inspiring looks are coming your way on November 23, 2008.
