Donna Karan’s fall 2009 collection will be fur free.
And it’s because of Tim Gunn.
The make-it-work fashion expert has become the latest celebrity to lend his voice to animals by narrating PETA’s new skins video which he sent with a personal appeal to Donna Karan and Giorgio Armani.
The two designers are known for using rabbit fur in their collections.
Since Tim’s appeal, Donna Karan has indicated that she has “no plans” to use fur in the future.
No word from Mr. Armani yet.

He was a Project Runway season 2 finalist and now he’s written a book.
It’s called, “Fashion Inside Out: Daniel V’s Guide to How Style Happens from Inspiration to Runway and Beyond” (what a looooooong title!).
It will be released on October 28th, 2008 and will feature a foreword by guess who?
Tim Gunn.
Photographs by Michael Turek will also be featured.
The literary masterpiece will retail at $29.95.
Ok. So Leanne won Project Runway.

It will head back to its regular timeslot on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 10 PM ET/PT.
This time around, his “fashion accomplice” is Gretta Monahan, fashion expert, personal stylist and owner of Grettacole Spas and Salons, and Gretta Luxe Boutiques.
But Gunn and Monahan won’t be making anyone over.
“With tough love and guidance,” say the folks at Bravo, “they’ll help people make themselves over.”
