How stupid can one person be?!

Every week I’ve watched Lipstick Jungle, admiring the fashion, the styling, etc.

I think I’ve pretty much settled on the fact that most of the ensembles are out of my reach (at least for now).

However, one stage manager for the show didn’t think so.

Now he could find himself in jail for stealing $30,000 in designer digs from the show, according to a CNN report.

NEW YORK (CNN) — A stage manager on production facilities for the NBC show “Lipstick Jungle” has been charged with stealing almost $30,000 in designer fashion from the show, the Brooklyn district attorney’s office said.

Arthur Moreira, 27, was arrested Friday in a sting operation that included officers buying stolen goods from Moreira at his apartment, according to a statement from the district attorney’s office.

Employees of French designer Sylvia Toledano first detected the fraud after finding several items that the fashion house had lent to the show on eBay, according to the district attorney’s office.

Among 16 items stolen from Brooklyn-based Broadway Ventures, which owns the production and storage facilities used by “Lipstick Jungle,” were sequined mosaic clutches, an Oscar de la Renta snakeskin bag and Gucci coats, the office said.

Moreira was being held by authorities in Brooklyn pending arraignment.

Fashion plays a major role in “Lipstick Jungle,” a comedy-drama focusing on three high-powered friends. The cast includes actresses Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price.

If I were a designer, I’d be ecstatic if a star wore one of my pieces.

So it’s no surprise that designer, JGERARD, issued a statement celebrating Rihanna’s recent in her creations.

However, I’m not sure I’d be blowing my own trumpet about this one.

I’m just not feeling JGERARD’s “PEACE CHAKRA” micro mini-gown, which the singer wore while partying at CLUB “PALAIS M” in Paris.

You might be surprised to know that JGERARD dresses many celebrities.

According to her web site, her client list includes Prince and his band, Tina Turner, Heidi Klum and Angelina Jolie.

Wow. I came across this “Dear Abby” piece, which Yahoo! News carried in its feed a couple days ago.

I thought it was pretty… interesting and decided to post it.

DEAR ABBY: My problem is unusual, but I’m hoping if you address it in your column it will help. I’m a married man, confident in who I am, who wears skirts for comfort. I feel skirts are more comfortable than pants, which I find tight, restrictive and uncomfortable. I wear skirts around the house, when I’m out running errands and when I attend church. My clergyman has raised no objection to it.

After much research, my wife and I have concluded that the only thing against men wearing skirts is social pressure, and then only in certain countries — America being one of them.

Pants are a relatively new style of clothing. For thousands of years of recorded history, men and women both wore skirts. Then women fought for and won the right to wear pants, shorts, whatever they wanted — which is great. I believe men should have the same option. My wife supports me in this.

Our problem is some family members who disagree have talked behind our backs, started rumors and turned people against us with false information. How can I make them understand that they are entitled to their belief, but that they shouldn’t gossip and create problems for us because I am not doing anything wrong? — JOE IN PENNSYLVANIA

DEAR JOE: Gossip is the province of small-minded people, and it is sad that your relatives have used the fact that you have chosen to be different as an opportunity to spread malicious falsehoods.

As long as you have the testicular fortitude and shapely enough legs to wear skirts, then you have my blessing. Some men’s clothing designers have been trying for years to revive skirts as part of men’s wardrobes. Because fashion trends not only change but often revolve, who’s to say you’re not on the leading edge of what’s to come?

There’s a bid to “Diddy” New Year’s Eve in New York.

Thanks to the fashion mogul’s partnership with CÎROC Ultra Premium Vodka.

Diddy and the liquor company have made an unprecedented offer to the City of New York.

They plan to donate $1 million to a charity on behalf of the city in exchange for a New Year’s Eve ball takeover.

The vodka brand wants to change the historic crystal ball to reflect its iconic blue sphere.

According to them, “The color of the sphere originates from a unique plant that grows in the Gaillac region of France , where CÎROC is still produced, and serves as a symbol of prosperity for the area even today.”

Some people say change is a wonderful thing but I’m not so sure about this one.

Let’s see if Diddy’s actually gonna get away with this one.

So guess who were the surprise guests on the red carpet at the Vogue Icon Celebration Event in Beijing today?

It wan’t your regular well tone celeb or supermodel.

It was Mickey and Minnie, the Disney animated duo.

Arriving with leading Chinese supermodel Du Juan, Mickey and Minnie joined 500 other fashion icons including Kate MossJessica StamMaggie Cheung, and Milla Jovovich.

The two characters were dressed by internationally renowned fashion designer Vivienne Tam.

According to the Disney camp, their outfits were specially designed to celebrate Disney’s ‘Year of the Mouse’ festivities and are a beautiful blend of festive reds and pinks inspired by catwalk trends to capture the festive spirit of this past Chinese New Year.

I must admit, Minnie’s dress is kinda fly!

In today’s news – another group of children in a remote African village starved yet another day.

A couple thousand Americans had their homes foreclosed.

Meanwhile, Christie’s announced its fall sale of magnificent jewellery, Jewels: The Hong Kong Sale!

It takes place on December 2 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Buyers will flock to get their hands on an exquisite selection of over 300 extraordinary jewels across a spectrum of taste and style — from the rarest of white and coloured diamonds to important coloured stones.

If you’ve got US$1,500,000-2,500,000 to spare–and a private jet to zoom you over to Hong Kong, one of these might tickle your fancy.

Being from Barbados, I’m always eager to celebrate Rihanna’s fashion sense.

But after seeing pics posted on the City Rag blog today, I am slightly (ok, very) disappointed.

Take a look.

Whitney Port’s got a new endorsement — with Skintimate.

Yep, that’s right — the women’s shave gel.

In a statement issued by the company, the fashion-designer-in-training gives some advice.

When shaving, I never use soap or water. With soap I don’t really get a close shave and end up having to shave more often. Soap can also dry out your skin and cause gross razor burn. Choose a shave gel instead. My favorite shave gel is Skintimate® Signature Scents in Flirty Mango(TM).

I don’t know about you but I get the strange feeling that Whitney doesn’t shave at all.

After being paid so much money per episode, why wouldn’t you be able to afford waxing or laser hair removal?

I’m just saying…

Multi-platinum singer. Movie star. Philanthropist. Entrepreneur. Fashion designer. Beer drinker?

Everyone knows about Jessica Simpson’s daisy dukes body, handbags, shoes and healthy lifestyle.

The all-American beauty and world-renowned entertainer has a passion for working out and making healthy food choices.

And now she’s signed an agreement with a new light beer called Stampede Light Plus.

The beer was started by a fitness expert and former Anheuser-Busch marketing employee, Lawrence Schwartz, and formulated by the late Dr. Joseph Owades (the creator of the first-ever light beer in 1967 — now Miller Lite).

It’s a strange endorsement, I think.

But I guess in the end, it’s all about the paper.

The kids who zoom past you in the mall skating on their heels are about to get more annoying.

That’s because the creators of Heelys–the popular footwear line for kids–has created a shoe with a wheel for the 2008 holidays.

According to a company statement, the shoe will come in three new styles, including a model with glow-in-the-dark features, and get this — a new Ninja model.
