If “The Devil Wears Prada” were a reality show, it would be STYLISTA.

That’s what the folks at The CW are saying about their new show, Stylista.

The reality flick follows 11 fashion enthusiasts elbowing one another for a coveted job with the Elle mag editorial team.

But the fall-premiering show set to air Wednesdays at 9 is getting a thumbs down from at least one major fashion commentator.

Nymag.com’s blog, “The Cut” gives a scathingly honest review.

In the few clips we saw (you can watch more here and here), it became immediately apparent that Stylista will be carefully constructed to mimic The Devil Wears Prada. Slowey’s office vaguely looks like Meryl Streep’s from the film, and when Slowey enters it, she carelessly flops her coats onto one of two assistant desks outside, just like in the movie.

It highlights in a painfully obvious way how desperately Elle wants to be Vogue. And it’s uncomfortable.

I’ll admit it, with the promotional spots in full swing on The CW, good reviews or not, I’m still curious about what Tyra Banks and Ken Mok (of ANTM fame) have cooked up for this one in their roles as executive producers.

Anne Hathaway covers this month’s issue of InStyle.

In an absolutely stunning spread, the actress talks to the mag about her sense of style, life as an actress and working on “The Devil Wears Prada” with Meryl Streep.

The folks at InStyle asked the actress about her style philosophy.
Her response was packed with loads of fabulous advice and praise for Rachel Zoe.

“If you’re going to be glamorous, it has to be tempered with eccentricity so that it incorporates your own personality. Dressing up is great, but you need a twist. And one of my biggest style influences has been Rachel Zoe, who introduced me to glamour. Now I’m kind of pushing her a little bit to explore the eccentric side. Lately, I’ve been having a lot more fun with how I dress. I am braving the idea of ending up on a worst-dressed list, but I’m also a lot happier with what I wear.”

“It Girl” Looks Worth A Try: Menswear

Rocked by: Hilary Duff, Anne Hathaway, Agyness Deyn, Victoria Beckham, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Fergie, Eva Longoria, and Gwyneth Paltrow

Menswear for women is everywhere and celebs will go to great lengths to step out in layered vests, fedoras, pinstripe capris, cap-sleeve button downs, wide-leg trousers, and black pencil skirts.

Even plaid and leather have turned business suit-y, topping blouses and leggings for new tough looks that are all the rage (see Lindsay Lohan and Elle Macpherson.)

Spring is here, but you can still add menswear accessories without sweating up a storm. Wanna try menswear femme?

Start with the basics, pinstripe wide-leg trousers or a tweed pencil, add a crisp blouse and gorgeous heels. For some spunk, choose heels that pop inred or green and throw on a multi-color vest.
