As usual, I’m tracking red carpet looks this awards season.
Here are a few looks, which I found interesting – for one reason or another.

Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” seems like it was released just moments ago.
Yet it’s taken the No. 1 spot on Rolling Stones Best of 2008 – Singles of the Year list.
Major props to the House of Dereon creator.
We ♥ u, B!
If you’re a music and fashion fan, prepare for a double treat when Beyonce begins her world tour in March.
The singer announced today that world-renowned top designer, Thierry Mugler, will work as creative advisor and costume designer on the road.
Mugler, who’s also a photographer and director, will design approximately 58 costumes for the show.
This includes B’s outfits as well as those of her band, back-up singers and dancers.
Apparently, Beyonce became interested in collaborating with the top designer after seeing his seminal pieces first-hand at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute’s “Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy” exhibit in New York in May 2008.
After subsequently studying the historical works in the Thierry Mugler archives in Paris, Beyonce selected the Mugler-designed clothing pieces, including an outfit from the “Too Funky” video, which is featured in the photo packaging for I AM…SASHA FIERCE.
House of Dereon siblings, Beyonce and Solange, have some explaining to do to their fans.
As a matter of fact, the two probably need to provide the victims of Hurrican Ike with an explanation, too.
Music World / Columbia Records have issued a statement, indicating that their December 9 concert, “Beyonce and Solange: Hope For The Holidays,” at Houston’s House of Blues, has been cancelled “until further notice.”
The concert was planned to benefit the Texas victims of Hurricane Ike.
Why the cancellation?
The record company says it’s “due to a set of irresolvable scheduling conflicts.”
The one hour-concert was originally scheduled to premiere on Fuse on Sunday, December 21.
The concert was intended to benefit the Gulf Coast Ike Relief Fund to aid Texas victims of Hurricane Ike through the Survivor Foundation, a Knowles family charity helping people in need.
“Beyonce and Solange regret the cancellation of their Houston-area holiday concert and urge their fans to support the efforts of The Gulf Coast Ike Relief Fund and the Survivor Foundation,” they said.
I just couldn’t help but post these pics from the Cadillac Records premiere, which took place last night.
Beyonce looked stunning in her mermaid-inspired gown.
And I just couldn’t keep my eyes off Jay-Z’s shoes — completely insane and very Hova, indeed.
Loving the new bespectacled look, too!
