Not everybody can make it on Project Runway in the crazy competitive fashion industry.

And there’s a company out there trying to make it easier for you. lets aspiring fashion designers upload their designs for other users to view.

Those users vote for their favorites, and the top-rated clothing is produced.

Basically, customers decide what is produced each season.

UsTrendy is currently taking submissions for its Spring 2009 Design competition.

The winning designer will score a $3,000 dollar grand prize.

It will include production and exclusive promotion and sale of their clothing line on UsTrendy.

You’ve probably heard of  Sean John’s new fragrance, I Am King.

I won’t even bother to comment on the name.

However, Diddy’s camp is celebrating the scent’s new website, “where the male power players of the world can live — and smell — like a king.”

If you are a guy who happens to be reading this post, you might be interested in Combs’ interactive challenge to his fans.

On the site, Diddy posts a link, asking fans to upload their videos onto YouTube, explaining why they, themselves, are modern day kings. Diddy will select the top three submissions.

Prizes include

  •  dinner and an evening out at a NYC nightclub

Today Russell Simmons announced the winners of the nationwide creative entrepreneurship competition, the Race to BE.

The Race culminated in New York City on Nov. 21 at the New York Stock Exchange with the final challenge in fashion, BE. The Style.

A young designer named Vaughn Jereaux swept the competition with his bespoke evening dresses and savvy marketing tactics. 

I’m really impressed by what I see from such a young designer.

A Photographer will be on hand at the casting calls to take shots of potential models.

Headshots will be accepted.

There’s a new website out there called that’s creating a bit of buzz.

They’re giving away jewelry for free!

The folks at said they developed it in response to the changing economy.

The web site showcases six pieces of jewelry at a time with new pieces displayed every 15 minutes.

The selection includes sterling silver, fresh water pearls, fashion jewelry, and so much more.

According to the web site owners, the jewelry, with retail values up to $99.99, is available to customers for a small shipping and processing fee.

Now finalists have been selected to compete in the nationwide creative entrepreneurship competition he’s hosting.

It’s called the Race to BE.

As the signature U.S. event for the worldwide initiative Global Entrepreneurship Week, it encourages young people to leverage their artistic abilities into entrepreneurial endeavors.
