So guess who were the surprise guests on the red carpet at the Vogue Icon Celebration Event in Beijing today?

It wan’t your regular well tone celeb or supermodel.

It was Mickey and Minnie, the Disney animated duo.

Arriving with leading Chinese supermodel Du Juan, Mickey and Minnie joined 500 other fashion icons including Kate MossJessica StamMaggie Cheung, and Milla Jovovich.

The two characters were dressed by internationally renowned fashion designer Vivienne Tam.

According to the Disney camp, their outfits were specially designed to celebrate Disney’s ‘Year of the Mouse’ festivities and are a beautiful blend of festive reds and pinks inspired by catwalk trends to capture the festive spirit of this past Chinese New Year.

I must admit, Minnie’s dress is kinda fly!

Disney and renowned designer Kirstie Kelly are celebrating the princess in every woman.

They are launching the “Red Label” collection of plus size bridal gowns designed specifically for plus size women.

Kirstie Kelly for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings – Red Label, will be showcased in glamorous style at the New York Bridal Market during a runway show at the Waldorf Astoria.

The new bridal line consists of 15 new dresses and caters to women who wear a size 16 or larger.

Today more than 48 percent of women are considered plus size, and according to the U.S. market research firm NPD Group, plus size merchandise accounts for one in five women’s apparel purchases, a growth of 20 percent between 2003 and 2007.

First JC Penney, then Kohls, now Sears.

The department store has teamed up with Vanessa Hudgens, the charismatic star of the smash hit Disney Channel film series High School Musical.

Vanessa’s role will be to give teens and tweens the confidence to go back to school in style.

Beginning in July and led by the theme, “Don’t just go back. Arrive.,” she’ll be featured in print ads, long-format video, television spots, and a contest which will see one winner hosting a private concert at his/her school with Hudgens.

“I like to make a fashion statement by changing up my look with different styles,” explains Hudgens. “Sears is a great place for those heading back to school this year because you can find an entire wardrobe of fun ‘looks’ to suit any mood or fashion sense. Plus, since the clothes are so affordable, you can easily switch styles and really get noticed when you arrive back at school.”
