If you need a scholarship, rapper/actor/fashion entrepreneur Nelly could be the answer to  your prayers.

On Sunday, he hosted the 3rd annual Black and White Ball, St. Louis’ premier celebrity gala party.

That’s when he announced the launch of the “Black and White Ball” Scholarship.

It’s a partnership between the Apple Bottoms creator, Lindenwood University’s Black Student Union and Plaza Motors.

Scholarship deets:

  • full-tuition
  • will be awarded to two students from Missouri and the St. Louis metropolitan area
  • renewable for four years
  • open to all incoming first-year students who meet the University’s requirements for admission
  • recipient must demonstrate academic success and financial need

Ashanti, Jermaine Dupri, rapper Murphy Lee, R&B legend Ernie Isley, and NFL stars Steven JacksonOrlando Pace, and Laurence Maroney were also guests at the ball.

A few days ago, we told you that Lauren Conrad was looking for models to walk in her fashion show.

Now we’ve got confirmed locations for her campus tour.

LC3, (the Lauren Conrad Collection College Tour), will make stops in Austin, Atlanta, Boston, Minneapolis and Los Angeles.

It’s all a part of Lauren’s attempt to increase buzz about  the Lauren Conrad Collection.

After seeing her on “The Hills” for a whole five years, it’s great to see Lauren taking her passion for fashion design to the next level. 

Proving that music success can indeed be “Made In Detroit,” Kid Rock is partnering with Wayne State University.

Together, they’ll fund a music scholarship that inspires Detroit’s youth to believe in themselves, their city and embrace its rich music legacy.

Kid Rock’s Made In Detroit Clothing company has co-created a limited edition t-shirt featuring its trademark logo embedded in the Wayne State moniker.

The scholarship will be funded by proceeds from the sale of the t-shirt, which will be available at Barnes & Noble on Wayne State’s Midtown campus.

LC’s going on a college tour nationwide where she’ll host a series of Fashion Shows.

And, of course, she’ll need models to strut their stuff on the runway.
