The difference between style and fashion is quality. – Giorgio Armani

The Sims and H&M today announced details about an outfit designed by a player of The Sims 2 coming to H&M stores.

It’s set to be sold in nearly 1,000 H&M stores around the world.

If you’re not living in the US and Canada, you’ll be ahead of the game–the outfit can be found in stores starting July 6, 2008,

It hits North America July 31, 2008.

No word on what it looks like yet but a statement said it will sell in stores for $14.90 USD.

The outfit was selected by H&M through a unique partnership with EA that encouraged fans of the The Sims, designers and fashionistas alike, to participate in The Sims 2 H&M Fashion Runway.

Any The Sims 2 player could participate by designing an H&M-inspired outfit in The Sims 2 game and uploading it to Exchange.

Great, but we wanna see what it looks like! Please!

“Don’t have high expectations. If you go out looking for something you’ll never find it.” – Savannah Miller, fashion designer, on shopping.

Thinking about cutting your fashion expenses?

You probably won’t be able to.

At least that’s what Vera Wang’s saying.

In a Vogue interview, Wang indicates she’s not too concerned with the global credit crunch.

“Fashion is an expendable commodity, but it also brings such joy and fantasy and fun to women’s lives. For that reason, fashion will prevail ultimately,” says the New York-based designer.

Such is her optimism, she has confirmed her label is pushing on with the scheduled opening of various new stores this year.

“This plan was made about two years ago,” she tells HERALDEXTRA.COM. “There’s no question that many people in fashion have felt the repercussions of the recession. I’m thorough about looking at the sell-through. I feel fairly optimistic that by the time they get done, hopefully the economy will be on the rebound.”
