ABC will broadcast the “2008 American Music Awards Red Carpet Live!” — a special pre-show to the AMAs–Sunday, November 23, from 7 to 8 p.m., ET/PT.

And here’s why you shouldn’t miss it.

  • An exclusive early look at the night’s top fashions and jewelry
  • Sneak peeks at last minute preparations and rehearsals
  • Sit-down interviews with 2008 AMA performers and presenters
  • Live hosts from the red carpet –  “Dancing with the Stars” Carrie Ann Inaba and “The Bachelor”/”The Bachelorette’s” Chris Harrison
  • Pussycat Dolls’ Nicole Scherzinger as the Music Correspondent
  • “Project Runway” season four winner Christian Siriano will serve as Fashion Correspondent
  • High School Musical’s Corbin Bleu reporting the action from backstage
  • American Idol winner David Cook performing hits from the red carpet

If all this is in the pre-show, I can’t wait to see how the show itself is gonna top that.

The November issue of Lucky should be on newsstands right about now.

This month, Vanessa Hudgens covers the mag wearing a to-die-for YSL gown.

The 19 year old shares deets on her style during the interview.

Before I leave the house, I research what I want online and where I’m going to get it. Right now I’m into flowy bohemian pieces that I’ll toughen up with something harder like biker boots.

In this issue, also look out for a feature that’s being run at just the right time.

The mag’s editors have gathered up a slew of chic items — all $150 or less!

First JC Penney, then Kohls, now Sears.

The department store has teamed up with Vanessa Hudgens, the charismatic star of the smash hit Disney Channel film series High School Musical.

Vanessa’s role will be to give teens and tweens the confidence to go back to school in style.

Beginning in July and led by the theme, “Don’t just go back. Arrive.,” she’ll be featured in print ads, long-format video, television spots, and a contest which will see one winner hosting a private concert at his/her school with Hudgens.

“I like to make a fashion statement by changing up my look with different styles,” explains Hudgens. “Sears is a great place for those heading back to school this year because you can find an entire wardrobe of fun ‘looks’ to suit any mood or fashion sense. Plus, since the clothes are so affordable, you can easily switch styles and really get noticed when you arrive back at school.”
