It’s gonna be a green spring at H&M.
The store aims to increase the use of organic cotton by 50 per cent during 2009 as compared with 2008.
Next spring there will also be selected garments made from recycled materials.
- polyester recycled from PET bottles
- textile remnants wool from worn-out woollen garments and remnants of fabric
- recycled cotton, which is recycled from fabric remnants in production

All U.S. H&M stores will accept donations from customers on behalf of the American Cancer Society (ACS) for the entire month of October 2008!
100% of the funds collected will be presented to the ACS at the end of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative in November 2008.

This autumn, Comme des Garçons’ founder and head designer Rei Kawakubo will create it.
Rei Kawakubo, famous and admired for her creativity and artistry, will design a women’s and men’s collection.

In the midst of all the chatter her Emmys designing gig has caused, Lauren Conrad is staying busy.
The celebrity designer will celebrate her Orange County homecoming as she kicks off the first-ever Style Week Orange County™.
It takes place September 8 through 13.
Conrad will debut her fall collection while kicking off Style Week Orange County with a runway show on September 8 at Irvine Spectrum Center.
That’s just a few miles from where she grew up in Laguna Beach.
Her line is carried at Nordstrom at Irvine Spectrum Center.
In addition, Nordstrom, Macy’s and H&M will join iconic Orange County surf brands Hurley and Roxy for the week of fashion shows and in-store events.
The Sims and H&M today announced details about an outfit designed by a player of The Sims 2 coming to H&M stores.
It’s set to be sold in nearly 1,000 H&M stores around the world.
If you’re not living in the US and Canada, you’ll be ahead of the game–the outfit can be found in stores starting July 6, 2008,
It hits North America July 31, 2008.
No word on what it looks like yet but a statement said it will sell in stores for $14.90 USD.
The outfit was selected by H&M through a unique partnership with EA that encouraged fans of the The Sims, designers and fashionistas alike, to participate in The Sims 2 H&M Fashion Runway.
Any The Sims 2 player could participate by designing an H&M-inspired outfit in The Sims 2 game and uploading it to TheSims2.com Exchange.
