If you’re like me, you’ve probably heard reports that Victoria’s Secret bras are toxic.
They’ve been several media stories and online posts claiming the store’s underwear contains formaldehyde.
However, the retailer has issued a “rumor control” statement denying the whole thing.
Victoria’s Secret does not add formaldehyde to its bras, and multiple, independent tests confirm that Victoria’s Secret bras are formaldehyde-free or contain only traces which are significantly lower than allowed by the most stringent textile guidelines in the world. Dermatologists and various authorities all confirm that even those individuals who are allergic to formaldehyde would not have a reaction at this low level, despite public claims by a Cleveland law firm.
Call me a cynic but I’m still not completely convinced.
Could they have launched their buy-one-bra-get-the-other-50%-off offer simply to get rid of the tainted bras?

If you head into a bebe store this week, you’ll run into a rare collection of lingerie.
And it will have the Pussycat Dolls’ stamp all over it.
They’ve stepped up to launch ‘Pussycat Dolls Shhh…by Robin Antin’ with bebe.
Both camps say the collection was inspired by the original stage show costumes and styling of the Pussycat Dolls modern burlesque troupe.
As Robin puts it, “I really went back to our roots, went back to our costumes from our original shows. The words for me on this collection are flirtatious, fashion and fun! Inside every woman lives a Pussycat Doll.”
It’s the group’s first lingerie line. The premiere collection will also be sold on bebe.com.
A quick sneek peak (official pics haven’t been released yet):
- The line features nautical looks, animal print, rock-and-roll styles and frills
- It covers every cut from boy shorts to micro-minis to delicate tops and bottom
- Inspired by pin-up girls, all types of music, and the sailor girl style

Don’t let peek-a-boo straps spoil an otherwise spectacular fashion moment. To avoid this pitfall, strapless lingerie is a must or, alternatively, use clear double-stick fashion tape to secure and hide your straps.
If your guy begins spending loads of time on his mobile phone, you may be able to blame MediaFLO.
They’ve just struck a deal with Victoria’s Secret to launch the lingerie store’s 24/7 mobile channel.
That’s right; your bf will be able to tune into “VICTORIA’S SECRET TV,” a new, dedicated never-goes-off-air channel that gives viewers an all-access pass to the 2008 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on their mobile phones.
It includes behind-the-scenes pre-show coverage and a broadcast of the full show on December 3.
