Christian Siriano’s still riding on his Project Runway success.

The rising designer will debut a scarf he designed for LG’s newest phone, the LG Lotus.

It will be featured at his fashion show on September 11 during New York City Fashion Week.

“The scarf I designed for the new LG Lotus is fabulous,” said Siriano. “It has a pocket for another accessory I can’t live or work without — my phone! I designed the scarf’s little pocket for the Lotus’ square shape. I love it! You should too.”

The phone will be available exclusively at Sprint.

Some folks are calling it “The Devil Wears Prada” à la reality.

It’s called “Running in Heels.”

The Style Network and the U.S. publication of Marie Claire will debut the new reality docu-series in Spring 2009.

According to Mediapost.com’s Fern Siegel (a very very very reliable source), “Each week, “Running in Heels” will pursue a different Marie Claire staffer, from senior-level personnel to interns. Viewers will watch them execute assignments and cope with success and failure, revealing much of the grit behind the glamour.”

Siegel also says that it will be a true serving of reality.

Private video confessionals will reveal how future fashionistas cope with their jobs, superiors and each other. Joanna Coles, editor in chief, Marie Claire, promises “lots of drama” to interest audiences.

Thousands reportedly flocked to the event at which she unveiled her holiday collection.

The Orange Country native received rave reviews from the organizers.

Lauren Conrad really helped energize our week of fashion by putting on a fantastic show,” said the Marketing Director of the Center.

The Associated Press reports:

LOS ANGELES – Lauren Conrad has designs on an Emmy — or at least designing a dress for next month’s awards ceremony. The star of MTV‘s reality hit “The Hills” will be creating a “couture red carpet gown” for the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards, the TV academy said Wednesday.

The dress — or maybe dresses, if Conrad designs more than one — will be worn by the “trophy girls” who tote Emmy statuettes on-stage for presenters to hand to winners, the academy said. The trophy bearers also walk the pre-show red carpet.

Reality TV already has a big presence at the ceremony, with emcee duties given over to five reality series hosts, including Ryan Seacrest of “American Idol” and Tom Bergeron of “Dancing With the Stars.”

Conrad, who pronounced herself “excited” by the academy’s request, also managed to put in a plug for her clothing line.

“I will be doing a red carpet look that still reflects the simple classic design of the Lauren Conrad Collection but with a black tie twist,” she said in a statement.

How real Conrad’s design credentials are remains a question for some in the industry. When she made her debut in March at Mercedes-Benz L.A. Fashion Week, mainstays such as Sue Wong told The Associated Press, “I don’t believe in reality TV stars turning into designers.”

Conrad said then she understands such skepticism.

“I will probably never have the respect I want in the fashion industry, but I can work hard every day to try and prove myself,” Conrad, who has trained at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, told the AP.

The Emmy ceremony airs Sept. 21 on ABC.

Kimora is on it!

The Queen of Fabulosity has inked an exciting deal with Steve Madden.

Under the new partnership, KLS will design, manufacture, market and distribute a collection of footwear and accessories for the Fabulosity brand with Steve Madden.

With Kimora as director, the collection will include women’s footwear, handbags, belts, small leather goods, and cosmetic bags for young fashionistas.

Any thoughts on where we’ll be able to buy them?

You guessed it!

The new line will be at JC Penney retail stores beginning in early 2009.
