Now that economy is on the fritz, I get the feeling lots of fashionistas will be swallowing their pride.

For some it might mean average department stores instead of Saks or Barneys.

For others, it might mean Target (It’s not bad enough for us to consider Wal-Mart for fashion finds yet. Touch wood).

So you might be pleased to see Target’s newest unveiling of their Go International collection.

Not bad style-wise and definitely easier on the pocket.

It’s chic on the cheap!

Target is partnering with designers Toni Hacker and Ben Harnett to launch a limited-edition handbag collection.

It’s called Hayden-Harnett for Target®.

It’s the seventh handbag launch in a series of limited-time-only accessories at Target.

The Hayden-Harnett for Target® collection will be available at most Target stores nationwide and at Target.com December 28, 2008 through March 15, 2009.

Silhouettes range from oversized envelope clutches to convertible hobos and flight totes.

The Hayden-Harnett for Target collection ranges in price from $19.99 to $49.99, in comparison to their high-end line which can cost as much as $700.

I’m not sure I’m in love with them but the price could be a motivator!

H&M, Payless, Target are high on the list of retailers dotting the country that will be selling chic for cheap in the fall.

According to Pogi, labels like Lela Rose, Richard Chai, Jonathan Saunders, Alice + Olivia and Abaeté should be within reach for money-conscious fashionista.
