I’m a sucker for diversity.

So I’m definitely happy about this new development.

Italian fashion house, Romeo Gigli, is hiring African designers with a dream.

They’ll be creating a menswear collection–which Gigli is developing to add “an international influence to its clothes,” according to a Reuters report.

When the six young folk from Ghana, Senegal and Kenya join the creative team at Gigli later this year, they’ll be hashing out a 2009/2010 autumn/winter collection.

It includes 25-30 pieces and will be called “Romeo Gigli Lab.”

The big collection reveal is set for January along and will be presented with Romeo Gigli’s featured collection.

The fashion house is also looking to hire aspiring designers from Jordan and China in the future.
